Couple's and Relationship Therapy
Fuse offers couple's therapy for couples in the thick of preconception, perinatal, and parenting through weekly or biweekly basis utilizing the Gottman Method. You will learn and implement skills to improve communication and solve problems together. You will focus on rebuilding a strong friendship, managing conflicts, and creating shared meaning in the relationship. This method will help you and your partner feel closer, have more understanding, and experience increased satisfaction in your relationship.
Parenthood: where our relationship goes from late-night talks to late-night diaper changes, and the only thing we’re balancing is sleep deprivation, endless arguments over who's turn it is, and the mountain of takeout boxes!
What to Expect
Assessment
We'll start with a thorough assessment process to make sure that I understand your relationship and how I can best help you. This includes an intake session with both partners and virtual assessments you'll receive by email.

No secrets; no sides
I don't keep secrets between partners, this avoids unfair power differentials. I also don't take sides, I'm here for you both.
Individual Sessions
I'll meet with both partners individually as a part of the intake process, this way I can gather your unique history and see what narratives, strengths, and expectations you bring to the relationship. I'll then meet with each of you individually periodically to check in and assess progress.

Intervention and Implementation
Each week we'll practice and build on a series of interventions to improve communication, increase emotional intimacy, and build your life together. I use the Gottman Method of therapy in my practice. You can visit this website for more information: The Gottman Institute | A research-based approach to relationships
